1 FIRST APPOINTMENT: with Brenda
Work out borrowing limits and needs for life, health, mortgage protection insurance. Apply for pre-approved loan.

2 Conditional pre-approval: with Brenda
You will receive a loan offer from your bank which may be subject to conditions – ie: registered valuation; copy of Housing NZ subsidy confirmation, etc

3 Making an offer: with Brenda and your Lawyer
Discuss how many days for finance and if any other conditions to be added, eg Lim Report

4 Unconditional approval (SOLD!): with Brenda and your Lawyer
– Loan conditions met
– Finance approved
– Lawyer advised and confirms the contract can 
  go unconditional

5 Loan structure/insurance: with Brenda Discuss options of floating vs fixed; or mix of. Discuss life or mortgage protection insurance

6 Pre-loan settlement: with your Lawyer and Bank Sign loan documents and arrange new accounts with your bank (must have House Insurance Cover in place for settlement).

7 GET IN THERE: with your Lawyer Lawyer receives settlement funds from bank, including your deposit, keys to your new home handed over so you can move in. Now for the hard part – packing and shifting!
